Claire Angelique – SA’s finest
Posted in: UncategorizedI’m am a little annoyed about a story I was just sent that was printed in a Durban newspaper, covering a punk show that took place at the Burn night club a few weeks back. I’m not planning on writing a long winded pile of
rubbish to knock out the weak bits of her article and waste my own time, but I do feel that that the sort of crap she regurgitated onto her keyboard to come off as a smart modern journalist and to boost her name as a quirky and controversial creative is a disgrace. Claire Angelique’s comments on the performance of one of Johannesburg’s local punk rock bands as being racist and fascist completely shocked me, as it seems the closer you edge to the age of 30 the more your brain atrophies until there is almost nothing to speak of.
She is an award winning journalist and I have read that she is currently working on a film in the role of director, and so I would think that having grown up in an environment of creativity, often fueled by different types of anger, sadness, happiness and discontent she would have a little more respect for herself in writing something so completely all-emcompassingly retarded in an attempt to sell a couple extra copies of a paper to old people, I am giving you this opportunity, Claire, to come forth and apologise for polluting our minds with your unending stupidity, and for the low low crime of attempting to sell papers by linking a political party and the colour of a human beings skin, I quote “two black kid from a local band sheepishly left the mosh pit”, this was after the band The Mean
Streets spat some venom at our ruling government party, Julias Malema, the embarrassing leader of the ANC Youth League, and Jacob Zuma.
Claire, we understand that this must have been a bit of a hard month for you, but stooping this low to gun down a couple of drunk guys looking for a party and saying what they think is no excuse to try and fill your pockets with a bit more chump change.
If “our generation needs a voice” so badly I am inviting you to be that, and not to expect a punk band to deliver a higher level of social responsibility than you can as the esteemed journalist you have been made out to be. “Our generation”, is not you, you are now an old woman who has made the terrible mistake of choosing subject matter that will only hurt her image later, and boost the

publicity of the band, leaving you a lucrative and fulfilling career path as the 702 Talk radio tea lady, giving back scratches to Jenny Crwys-Williams during ad breaks while she reduces you to something even more shameful and boring than you have already become. I have heard of another article you excreted covering your idea of the “Point of hardcore” which I absolutely cannot wait to begin reading before stopping and using as bog roll.
If I could ask you one favour, please stay out of the places that play music you don’t like, and if for some reason you do find yourself straying from the garden of uselessness and shame from where you draw your unholy powers, leave your bad bad attitude and your pen at home, because negative feedback is the last thing needed in a scene already battling to survive. And remember the golden rule: YOU DON”T HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT.

Posted in: Uncategorizedis Iphone Tomtom ever coming?
Posted in: UncategorizedTomtom announced turn by turn navigation for the iPhone early June, and have had everyone on the edge of their seat since, you’d think they would have had it ready for release around the date of the iPhone 3.0 software update, and striking while the iron is hot, instead a month later my excitement has turned to irritation after
Visiting iPhone.tomtom.com almost every day waiting for even an update, a release date? Anything else but “coming soon to the app store” two other apps have already been released and most definitely sneaked a bit of thunder from under tomtoms nose, OK, one of them is only worth anything in Europe and the other, Gokivo, is rubbish and has the most ridiculous pricing in the world. Come on tomtom, throw us a bone here, I argue with my Garmin owning coworkers and I’d like something to be smug about now, or I’m buying the Garmin phone!!!
